Disabilities
Humans don't often think about this, but sheep and other animals can also be born with disabilities, with various divergencies from what is considered neuro- or physio-typical, or they can develop them later in life, for example following an injury. On farms these sheep are usually killed immediately or left to die. In sanctuaries and similarly safe homes they are looked after just like we look after humans in similar circumstances: the environment is adjusted to their specific needs; if required, wheelchairs or even prosthetic limbs can designed and constructed, sometimes, as is often the case with blind sheep, it's just a matter of finding the right friend to walk by your side as you develop new ways to sense the world and thrive in it.
